The World Missions Center encourages, equips and enables students and faculty to fulfill the Great Commission for the glory of Jesus Christ. The Great Commission is at the heart of a Biblical worldview.
Many Christians lack the confidence and support to live a consistent, missional lifestyle that daily seeks to obey the Great Commission mandate of Matthew 28 – “make disciples of all nations.” The WMC connects students with missions-minded students, faculty, churches, missionaries, and mission agencies in order to foster a TMU core value – missional community. We practice missional community in three ways:
Friendship
Prayer
Community
A lifestyle centered on obedience to God’s Word necessarily focuses a follower of Christ upon the Great Commission. Such obedience leads to missional leadership which embraces God’s plan and ways of growing His Church among all the people groups of the world. The WMC provides students and faculty essential research and resources to share the gospel and disciple people of all cultures and beliefs in order to strengthen new and existing churches. We supply resources/research on these topics:
People groups
Culture
The Gospel
Evangelism & discipleship
The Church
Missional transformation occurs in us when we give away our lives to others so that they, too, may become followers of Christ! Two paths for reaching lost and hurting people here in Cleveland to the farthest corners of the globe are through Student Life Leadership Council and Mission Trip Teams to places like London, Mumbai, Boston, Kenya, Uganda, and more.
Your tax-deductible gift will empower a student to receive hands-on experience through serving here and around the world.
