Cleveland, GA (November 29, 2010) – Truett-McConnell College earned the Champions of Character 5 Star Institution Award.
The Champions of Character Award is granted to institutions that are committed to good character in the following five key areas: character in training, conduct in competition, academic focus, character recognition, and character promotion. In addition, the award is given to institutions that promote these aspects in their campus and in their community.
Dr. Brad Reynolds, vice president of academic services and acting athletic director, states “Truett-McConnell College is honored to have won the NAIA “Champions of Character” award. The Champions of Character core values of integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship and servant leadership encapsulate numerous qualities that are scriptural imperatives. The fact that others have noticed that TMC demonstrates these values is a testimony to our coaches, our athletes, our president and our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Truett-McConnell College is humbled to receive this award and will continue to encourage superior character throughout its campus.
The mission of Truett-McConnell College, a Georgia Baptist College, is to equip students to make a positive impact for Christ through disciplined scholarship and Christian discipleship. For more information about Truett-McConnell College visit us online at www.truett.edu.
