Along with the recent announcement by Dr. Emir Caner, President of TMU, concerning Truett McConnell University (TMU) moving to online instruction for the remainder of spring semester, other difficult decisions have been made to cancel campus events, including the Todd Starnes Faith & Freedom Celebration scheduled for April 18, 2020.

“We are sad to say that we are cancelling the Todd Starnes Faith & Freedom Celebration,” said Dr. Gary Jarnagin, Director of Financial Development.

“The coronavirus has caused so much uncertainty that we find it prudent to cancel now. Due to the daily changes taking place around the country, and specifically Georgia, we believe the best approach at this time is to cancel and reschedule for next year.”

For those who have already purchased tickets for the event, several options have been made available.

  • A refund may be provided to you.
  • Payment may be retained for next year’s event to honor your ticket purchase(s) for the 2021 Todd Starnes Faith & Freedom Celebration.
  • Your ticket purchased can be retained as a 2020 donation to the 2020 NextGen Fund. You will then need to purchase tickets for the 2021 event.

“We appreciate your support and prayers during these unsettled times and look forward to welcoming you to next year’s Todd Starnes’ Faith and Freedom Celebration,” said Jarnagin.

For refund information, or tax documentation for donations, call 706-865-2134, ext. 3801 or email amccall@truett.edu.
