The TMU Women’s Soccer team completed a historic fall season, marking one of the most successful years in program history.

For the eighth consecutive season, the Lady Bears earned an at-large berth to the NAIA Women’s Soccer National Championship. The postseason included a milestone moment as TMU hosted an Opening Round match for the first time in program history. Playing on their home field, the Lady Bears defeated Cumberland University 4–2 before advancing to the Round of 16 in Pensacola, Florida.

In Pensacola, TMU faced Grace College in an intense matchup that stretched through two overtime periods and was ultimately decided by a penalty kick shootout. The Lady Bears emerged victorious, advancing to the program’s first-ever NAIA National Quarterfinal. TMU continued to compete with determination in the quarterfinal round, battling for 97 minutes before falling in overtime. The season concluded with an impressive 19–2–2 record, highlighted by the program’s deepest national tournament run to date.

Junior team captain Isabella Hodson reflected on the journey, saying,
“It was an amazing feeling to host a national tournament game, something our team is incredibly proud of. Seeing the support from fans and alumni made the moment even more special. We knew we were striving for more, and earning our spot in Pensacola, winning our Sweet 16 match, and reaching the Elite Eight made this an unforgettable journey that created history and lifelong memories.”

Beyond the wins and accolades, the Lady Bears’ season was defined by a deeper purpose. The team fostered a strong sense of community and sought to glorify God through their efforts on and off the field.

Senior captain Bailee Blair shared,
“Most importantly, I want to give all the glory to God, because we could not have gone as far as we did in the national tournament without Him. The culture we have on this team is what sets us apart, and it was incredible to see everyone embrace that while playing the sport we love and praising our Heavenly Father.”

The 2025 season will be remembered not only for its historic achievements, but also for the unity, faith, and lasting legacy the TMU Women’s Soccer program continues to build.
