CLEVELAND, Ga. (TMNews)- Truett-McConnell College recently received a $45,000 grant from the Carolyn Ragan & King Foundation to fund the Nursing Division. The grant award will go toward purchasing equipment for six new simulated hospital rooms being built in the near future.

Celeste Dunnington, Associate Professor and Division of Nursing Chair, shared, “The Nursing Division is thrilled and blessed beyond measure. God shows out when we least expect it! This grant will provide hospital beds and other equipment for our upcoming expansion to increase our lab space in order to better train our nursing students. The increase in lab size will expand our current space from 3 beds to 9 beds and increase our ability to secure additional simulation manikins.”

The grant additions will add significant value to student learning and positively impact student retention, graduation, and success in the workforce.
