TMC FACULTY AND STAFF HONORED

  Three Truett-McConnell College faculty and staff members were honored in the college’s annual Honors Day program on May 1. 

 
   Dr. Robert Loffredo, interim Vice President for Academic Services, presented the 2008 Award for Faculty Excellence to Dr. Susan Gannaway, Professor and Chair of the Department of Education.   Formerly Chair of the Education Department at North Georgia College and State University in Dahlonega, Dr. Gannaway joined the Truett-McConnell faculty in 2005.  She has served as the principal architect of the bachelor’s degree program in early childhood education.  Dr. Gannaway holds a Bachelor of Arts from Ohio Wesleyan University and Master of Education and Doctor of Education degrees from the University of Georgia.  She resides in Gainesville.

 
   Mrs. Janis Justus, adjunct instructor in history and political science, received the 2008 Vulcan Materials Award from Dr. Loffredo.  Mrs. Justus has served on the adjunct faculty of Truett-McConnell since 2004.  She holds Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees from the University of Florida.  She is married to Dr. Michael Justus; they have three children and live in Cleveland.

 
   Dr. Mike Simoneaux, interim President of Truett-McConnell, presented the 2008 Presidential Achievement Award to Mrs. Sandy Dilbeck Harris, Senior Software Engineer in the college’s Office of Information Technology.  Mrs. Harris is a 1994 graduate of Truett-McConnell and holds a Bachelor of Arts from Piedmont College and a Master of Business Administration from Brenau University.  She and her husband, Donald Harris, have two children and live in Cleveland.
