Dr. Stacy Hall, TMU’s new Vice President of Advancement

Truett McConnell University (TMU) President Emir Caner recently announced the appointment of Dr. Stacy Hall to Vice President of Advancement for the university. In this capacity, Hall will oversee alumni relations, fundraising, and marketing initiatives for the university and serve as one of four vice presidents on the university cabinet.

Hall most recently served as an Associate Professor of Business for TMU teaching marketing, management, and finance and was the Program Director for Strategic Partnerships, Advancement, and Career Advisement for the Hans Hut School of Business. Hall also previously served as the Director of Athletics for TMU. During his stint as Director of Athletics, each sport set new win records as a four-year institution, total athletic scholarship funding increased 106%, academic performance of student-athletes set new benchmarks annually, and Hall developed and spearheaded the institution’s first-ever athletic capital campaign that culminated with the construction of four new athletic facilities.

“When the name of Dr. Hall surfaced as a possible candidate for Vice President of Advancement, there was a unanimous spirit that the Lord had brought the right person at the right time. Dr. Hall’s faith in the Lord, wealth of experience, and love for the university makes him the perfect candidate for this position,” said Caner.

Hall received a bachelor’s degree from East Carolina University, a master’s degree from Georgia Southern University, a Ph.D. from Florida State University and expects to complete an MBA degree from Truett McConnell University in May of 2023. Hall is the co-founder, owner and principal of Hall & Company, a successful real estate development firm that owns and manages a portfolio of residential and commercial properties throughout Habersham County. He has worked twenty-seven years in sales, marketing, and management with the bulk of his career spent managing multi-media marketing rights for NCAA Division I schools around the Southeast.

Hall has been very involved in his community having been elected to the Habersham County Board of Commissioners and serving as Chairman of the Board. He has served as Chairman of the Board for Habersham Medical Center hospital, Chairman of the White County Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of Habersham Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and worked with many other community boards, work groups, and charitable organizations. Hall has been married to Ivy Copeland Hall for 23 years. They have two children and have served as a host family for two international students. He and his family are members of Level Grove Baptist Church in Cornelia, GA.
