Cleveland, GA (March 15, 2011) – The Auburn War Eagle, named Nova, visited the Truett-McConnell campus on Monday, March 14.

Roy Crowe, an education consultant with Auburn University, exhibited the majestic eagle in the two falconry classes taught by TMC falconry instructor Buster Brown.

Nova is the official Auburn University mascot that flies over the field before Auburn’s home football games.

Nova hatched in 1999 and has been trained by Crowe since it was only a few months old.  Crowe travels to different areas teaching about birds of prey and showing off the splendid predator.

Truett-McConnell College equips students to fulfill the Great Commission by fostering a Christian Worldview through a Biblically-centered liberal arts education.
