First day of class in BI 101 was unforgettable! Dr. Andrew Fabich, Associate Prof. of Microbiology, invited two guests to class: Carl Kerby with the ministry Reasons for Hope and Brian Scoggins who is the drummer for Casting Crowns to speak relating to the course text: “Learning to Worship the Creator of Organisms” by Dr. Kurt Wise.
“Both Carl and Brian set the stage for the class and nailed it out of the park,” said Fabich. “It was phenomenal and the Lord be praised!” #wearetmu #stem #castingcrowns #reasonforhope #science #worship
Welcome back to class, Bears! 🐻 We are praying for a G-R-E-A-T spring semester for each of you! You’ve got this! 📚 #wearetmu
“I grew up playing various sports, but volleyball has always been my favorite. My dad and older sisters were always willing to play with me, fueling my desire to compete at a higher level. I was fortunate to have a great high school coach who helped increase my volleyball IQ, while helping me grow to love the game.
Volleyball is more than a game; it has allowed me to travel to many places and meet so many different people. Becoming a college athlete provided me with a built-in family and I am grateful for the many learning opportunities in leadership development while serving as team captain for the last 4 years. I know these experiences will serve me well as I transition into a classroom teacher next fall.” #humansofTMU
