Over the last school year, TMU Student Life has participated in The Loved Bible Project, a discipleship tool used to help those who have never read the Bible or heard about Jesus. Nearly a dozen of TMU’s girls have gathered monthly to serve non-believers by “pre-loving” Bibles to share with the lost. They provide helpful quotes, definitions, and explanations to clarify parts of the Bible that may be difficult to understand. Their “loved” Bibles are given away to a local women’s addiction ministry in Habersham County with the goal of making the gospel clear so that the person receiving the Bible will come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

The Loved Bible Project originally started as a ministry to the homeless and has now transitioned into a way to give the truth of Jesus Christ to anyone who is not saved. The project’s leaders aim to be a growing, biblically literate community who love the Word of God and are passionate about sharing His Word with others! They don’t want discipleship to end with simply giving the Bible away, but the want to disciple and come alongside those around them.

“I believe the Loved Bible Project is one of the most powerful ministries you can be involved in. You’re giving people access to the gospel. You’re sharing the love of Christ. You’re telling them about the only way their life could be totally transformed,” noted student leader Mackenzie Meyers, “The Loved Bible Project allows for you as the participant to be creative, but giving that Bible to a non-believer allows their life to be changed.”

Mackenzie is excited to see what God will do among TMU’s girls in the coming schoolyear and is hopeful that God will continue to bless and grow their group! Participating in The Loved Bible Project is a fun, creative, and relatively simple way to fulfill the Great Commission. It is a way to share the love of Jesus and what He did on the cross – the only truth that has the power to transform lives!
