CLEVELAND, Ga., (TMNews) – Amir Hightower, a freshman from Griffin, Georgia, is a Sports Medicine Major and Pre-Physical Therapy here at TMC.

Q: What has been the best thing about attending TMC so far?
A: Being able to focus on my academics without any distractions.

Q: Is there anything in particular that drew you to Truett-McConnell College
A: Basketball!

Q: What is the best part about dorm life?
A: The best RA Jacob Moore.

Q: What’s the worst part about dorm life?
A: Cold water when taking a shower. #SewallLife

Q: Favorite Class? Why?
A: Human Growth and Development. I like it because I’m learning a lot about the background to the growth development process.

Q: Who is Jesus to you?
A: The Son of God who has died for my sins and gave me a chance to live life and lead others to Him.

Q: How did you come to know Christ as your personal Lord and Savior?
A: Family and coaches back at home.

Q: Is there anything specific God is teaching you right now?
A: Not to give up in life. Everything happens for a reason, I just have to remain humble and keep my faith in Him.

FUN FACTS

Q: What do you miss most about home?
A: Family!
Q: Who is one of your hero’s and why?
A: My grandma. She is a special person and showed me that everything is not about yourself. She has a kind heart, is very supportive, an extremely hard worker and she has a lot of courage!
Q: What do you hope to do after college?
A: Start in my career and make my Momma proud.
