MOVE Teams are student-led ministry teams that allow students to spend time with, minister to, and share the Gospel with those they encounter within each team’s ministry opportunities. They also allow students to serve and grow in Christlikeness, bringing about missional transformation. The Clarkston Refugee MOVE Team

Led by Carrie Evans

This team is partnering with TMU Alumni who serve in Clarkston among refugees through “Salt Next Gen,” to help meet the needs of refugees from around the world while building relationships with them for the sake of sharing the good news of Jesus. Our hope is that students will adopt various refugee families from unreached nations and see them come to Christ. The team travels to Clarkston, GA twice a month.

ManuMission MOVE Team

Led by Hayley Vega

Manumission is a ministry team focused on reaching the victims of human trafficking with the hope and freedom found in Jesus Christ. This team goes to Frontline Response in Atlanta once a month to serve and give to the women on the streets through evangelism, prayer, and building relationships with the women there.

Athens Outreach MOVE Team

Led by Elizabeth Smith

The Athens Outreach MOVE Team goes to Athens GA three times a month (on the weekends) with the goal of serving the community of people facing homelessness holistically by meeting physical and spiritual needs. This team builds relationships by doing street ministry, visiting local homeless shelters, & throwing block parties in local parks.

Pregnancy Resource Center Encouragement MOVE Team

Led by Robert Foster and Mary Robinson

The Pregnancy Resource Center Encouragement MOVE Team meets once a month to volunteer and help with the Pregnancy Resource Center’s needs. They also seek to encourage those who come to the PRC as well as students on campus throughout the semester.

Foster Care Ministry MOVE Team

Led by Mary-Katelyn Wood

The Foster Care Team ministers to both the children in the foster care system of Georgia as well as the families who choose to serve through fostering in their home. Meets once a week for team prayer time, and serves local foster families through home visits, babysitting & donations. They also volunteer with Families4Families events each month.

GoHelen Outreach MOVE Team

Led by Stuart and Montana Farquhar

The GoHelen MOVE Team meets two Fridays a month to evangelize to tourists, locals, & shop owners. They also partner with Helen First Baptist through an event called, “Bread of Life,” where they distribute food from a food pantry to people in need one Saturday a month. The goal of the GoHelen Team is to reach out to people in Helen, GA through evangelism and discipleship.

The Sports Ministry MOVE Team supports athletes to play for the glory of God each day and share Christ on and off the field.

Unreached Peoples Move Team

The Unreached People Move Team gathers monthly to pray for unreached peoples all over the world and seeks to equip other move teams with resources on ways to find them, pray for them, and reach them with the gospel.



Cleveland Outreach MOVE Team

Led by John Barnette

The Cleveland Outreach team meets together weekly to pray for the people of Cleveland. They also do outreach weekly in the city of Cleveland through evangelism and discipleship.
