CLEVELAND, Ga., (TMNews) – The Tommy Jones Scholarship Fund for students of Truett-McConnell College will be available for the first time in the fall of 2015. The Jones Family are excited to offer this opportunity to TMC students, in any field, by helping to further their education through the Tommy Jones Scholarship Fund.

Rev. Jones, a pastor for over 50 years in churches across Texas and Georgia, spent countless years sharing God’s Word around the world. His mission efforts included Hawaii and Alaska

and stretched overseas from Jamaica to Africa. He was on the Executive Board of the Georgia Baptist Convention and was also the Home Mission Board President of the Southern Baptist Convention.

The Jones Family as a whole wanted to create an avenue which would help share Bible Truth’s around the world and would be easily accessible to anyone, especially those who are unable to attend church services. After establishing what they wanted to share, was created and launched online in June of 2014. The website has been a family affair from the beginning. Website visitors can find sermons by Rev. Jones along with other resources including the power of prayer, growing in Christ and learning more about God’s Word. With over one million hits and views from 65 different countries, the Jones family continues to dedicate their time to making new resources which will benefit visitors of the site. The family is devoted to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ worldwide and through this website they hope to continue doing so through God’s leadership and guidance.

The Jones Family reaches college students all over the country but have close connections to students at Truett-McConnell. When visiting the website, you’re sure to find videos with current students at TMC reflecting on specific topics. The Jones family also encourages students to be a part of the Find Bible Truth website and welcome sermons, personal testimony’s and encouraging words to share with visitors of the site. Their hope is to provide encouragement, Bible truths and even humor to students visiting the website. Ms. Barbara Jones states: “The Lord has taught me wisdom through His word and wants Find Bible Truth to be an encouragement to seeking students.”

“Our goal is to mold the next generation to know more about Jesus Christ so that they will want to pass on God’s love to others here and around the world” Ms. Jones added.

To continue the legacy of Rev. Jones, the Rev. Tommy Jones Scholarship Fund will provide an endowment of $10,000 and an additional six $1,000 scholarships each year to TMC students.
