Truett-McConnell College is pleased to announce that Dr. Holly A. Haynes will be joining the college faculty as Associate Professor of Behavioral Sciences in Fall 2010.
Dr. Haynes completed her bachelor’s degree in history and science at Harvard College and went on to complete her master’s and doctoral degrees at Harvard University in human development and psychology, respectively.
During the completion of these degrees, Dr. Haynes was involved in research on mother-child relationships and early childhood trauma with Boston’s Children’s Hospital, The California Endowment, and the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Dr. Haynes has taught at Loyola Marymount University, Georgia Perimeter College and most recently, Georgia Gwinnett College.
Because of her work in the classroom, Dr. Haynes’ most current research focuses on understanding and exploring “generation me,” “classroom engagement,” and “innovation” in teaching.
Dr. Haynes currently resides in Sugar Hill, Georgia, with her husband, Phillip, and her two children.
