Truett McConnell University’s (TMU) Conrad Grebel School of The Humanities will be sponsoring its first creative writing contest open to any student in the university (part-time, full-time, online, dual enrolled, or graduate student). Awards will be given in poetry, short story (fiction), and creative nonfiction essay.
Students who wish to enter the writing contest must be enrolled in Truett McConnell University.A student may submit only one entry per category. Submissions can be submitted beginning January 1, 2019. All entries must be submitted to the online classroom in the online Student Resource Center no later than March 1, 2019.
All entries should comply with the university’s institutional identity and mission statement, which may be found in TMU’s catalog.
Besides public recognition in the university’s literary journal, The Yonah Review, recipients of the awards in each category will receive a scholarship in the amount of $500 for first place, $300 for second place, and $200 for third place.
