TRUETT-McCONNELL COLLEGE HOLDS 2008 HOMECOMING

   On February 16, 2008, Truett-McConnell College hosted its annual Homecoming with events taking place during the afternoon and early evening.  

At 2:00 PM the TMC Lady Bears took on the women’s basketball team of Darton College but lost 80-77 in a close and exciting game.  Following the ladies’ game, the Homecoming King, Homecoming Queen, and Homecoming Court were introduced.

Chosen by vote of the student body, the 2008 Homecoming King is Shaun Hughes, a senior music major from Oakwood, GA, and the 2008 Homecoming Queen is Kate Bushey, a senior humanities major from Cornelia, GA.  Members of the Homecoming Court were Jordan Davis, a senior education major from Millen; Christina Wingo, a junior education major from Augusta; Jimmy Simpson, a junior Christian studies major from Warner Robins; Raegan Rawls, a sophomore education major from Jonesboro; Brandon Bailey, a sophomore business major from Memphis, TN; Matt Wills, a junior history major from Marietta; Amy Jefferson, a freshman general studies major from Elberton; and Jesse Hammons, a freshman Christian studies major from Toccoa.

Immediately after introduction of the Homecoming Court, the TMC Bears played a great game against Albany Technical College, coming away with a 78-71 win.
