Cleveland, GA (November 1, 2010)-The Truett-McConnell Community Choir and Orchestra will perform Handel’s Messiah at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, November 11, at Cleveland’s First Baptist Church.

Handel’s Messiah is one of the most performed choral masterpieces in the world. This particular performance will include the entire part one, known as the Christmas portion, and selections from parts two and three. The 75-voice community choir is directed by Dr. Ben Caston, Chair of the Music and Fine Arts Division.
Student soloists include Heather Palmer, soprano; Lana Palmer, mezzo-soprano; and Monroe Bennett, tenor. Special guest baritone soloist, David Jones, teaches on the music faculty of Toccoa Falls College. The concert is free and open to the public.
