The Truett McConnell Felix Manz School of Music, under the direction of Dr. Kenneth Gabrielse, will perform Handel’s Messiah Tuesday, November 19, in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church in Cleveland. Truett McConnell University chorale, community choir, soloists, and string orchestra will perform portions of Messiah by George Frideric Handel, one of the most performed choral masterpieces in the world.

The entire Christmas portion will be performed as well as selected choruses and solos from Parts II (Hallelujah) and III (Worthy is the Lamb). The text of Messiah is taken from Holy Scripture and includes prophecies and praises of Christ Jesus, the Messiah. The performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
