Cleveland, GA On Thursday, October 10, Truett McConnell University students gathered in the Student Wellness Center for a job fair hosted by the Rielin and Salmen School of Nursing. Representatives came from a variety of hospitals and medical centers, including:

  • North Georgia Hospital System
  • Northside Hospital System
  • Fresenius Medical Care
  • Piedmont Health Care
  • Union General Health System
  • Ron Washer – abweGO
  • Mountain Lakes Medical Center
  • Lanier Village Estates
  • Wellstar Health System

For students, the opportunity was an incredible blessing. Hannah Smith, a senior, remarked about how the experience was different as a senior nursing student in comparison to last year. “As junior nursing students, we were able to attend last year as well, but as a senior nursing student it was very surreal being able to talk to these agencies knowing I’ll be practicing in less than nine months,” she said, “I was able to connect with all the agencies and hear about what they offer. Overall, I couldn’t be more excited about starting my journey as a nurse aid Truett does so much to help give us great opportunities.”

Rachel Morgan, who is also a senior, said, “I am so thankful that our nursing staff and faculty at Truett is giving us opportunities to start thinking about our future careers by having us talk to recruiters and leaders from surrounding hospitals. I love that different hospitals can come and share their information with us…it opened my eyes to some new hospitals that I am now interested in because of the information they shared with us.”
