Truett-McConnell College was privileged to host Dr. Ergun Caner in chapel this morning. Dr. Caner spoke a message filled with encouragement, hope, a bit of humor, and of course, a handful of love. His message was from Galatians 6:9-18. Galatians was written in the middle of Paul’s ministry. This is a very important aspect in the understanding of the book: the half way point is always the toughest. Paul writes and tells us how to survive when we are right in the middle. The following are Dr. Caner’s 3 points of survival:

  • Your scars will tell your story and you cannot hide them
  • Your haters will keep you holy
  • Your worst pain can become your greatest power

Our scars tell our story – and God wants to use our story!

“From now on let no one cause trouble for me, for I bear on my body the brand-marks of Jesus.” Galatians 6:17
