This email includes the information you will need in order to check-out of your campus housing unit. Please read it carefully and let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

With this process, we have several goals in mind. First, we want to make this as simple, flexible, and convenient for you as we possibly can. Second, we want to continue to minimize person-to-person contact as we respect the guidelines being issued by our government. Finally, we want to be as helpful to you as we can during this time of transition.

This is how the process will work:

  1. You will use the enclosed link to schedule your time to check out of your housing unit. The link will give you 10-minute appointment intervals that are available between 8am and 8pm for the next 20 days. This is where it gets confusing – we don’t actually expect you to check out in that 10 minute block. We are actually breaking our times down into morning (8a-12p), afternoon (12p-4p), and evening (4p-8p) sessions, however, our scheduling system will not let us book multiple appointment for the same time. Therefore, we have broken the appointments up to allow up to 24 appointments, in 10 minute intervals, during each session. You should plan to checkout during whichever 4 hour block your appointment falls. For example, if you schedule 10:50am, you can check out between 8am and 12pm that day. If you are scheduled at 12:40pm, you can check out between 12pm and 4pm that day. I hope this makes sense, but let me know if you have any questions.
  2. Four hours before your appointment you will receive an email with check-out instructions a link to the check-out form. Please use this form to document your check-out.
  3. You will receive a follow-up email if there are any issues or concerns regarding your check-out or the condition of your room.
