The Bachelor of Arts in English will introduce you to prominent works in American, British and World Literature in a Christian environment.

You will learn how to analyze fiction and nonfiction works based on a biblical worldview by exploring authors, works, genres, literary terminology and critical theory. Unique to Truett McConnell’s English degree, you will also study a range of Christian literature, including the patristic accounts of the early church, English and Irish praise poetry; modern apologetic works of Lewis, Tolkien and Eliot; and the creation and criticism of creative writing in poetry, drama and the novel.
