Are you a teacher or parent who interacts with a child that has Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and finds it difficult to deeply connect with this person? Would you like tips on how you can help them with school work and to achieve all of their goals in life?
Truett McConnell University’s (TMU) Leonhard Schiemer School of Psychology and Biblical Counseling will offer a free seminar entitled: What’s the problem, I understand me: How those with ADHD think, communicate, and socialize led by Dr. Rick Fowler, TMU Professor of Psychology.
Dr. Fowler, who has ADD, found himself in the bottom 10% of his class in high school, yet was able to turn it around and become the first in his class to obtain a graduate degree. Dr. Fowler and his wife, Jerilyn, are authors of the book Honey, are you Listening: How ADD Affects Marriages and had been featured four times on Dr. Dobson’s Focus on the Family radio broadcast.
Interested attendees can attend one of the two opportunities: March 4, 2019 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. in Miller Hall, room 121 on the Truett McConnell University campus, or March 14, 2019 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. in the community room of the Clarksville Library.
