Truett-McConnell students and faculty were privileged to hear from Rick Stanley in chapel this morning. Stanley has a very unique testimony and an impressive background which provides avenues for him to share the gospel with a very wide range of people; he was the step-brother and assistant to Elvis Presley.
He shared about his difficult childhood which ultimately led to the blessing of salvation for him and his family, as well as a fervent spirit in sharing the gospel. Mr. Stanley reminded attendees of how everyone has issues; but the way to fix those issues is to surround yourself with godly people and to let the reality of the cross transform your life. TMC thanks Mr. Rick Stanley for encouraging and inspiring us to focus our eyes on the cross and on the winning of people to Jesus Christ.
Ezekiel 36:26-27, “Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will be careful to observe My ordinances.”
