Biography

Gideon Hendrix is the Counseling Center Coordinator at the Truett McConnell University Counseling Center. Gideon is a TMU Alumni. She has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling. She and her husband live in Demorest, GA. Gideon enjoys spending her free time completing home projects, reading books, and traveling with her husband. Gideon is passionate about destigmatizing mental health, helping others begin their healing journey, and implementing Biblical holistic techniques in counseling sessions. Her favorite Bible verse is Proverbs 3:5-8, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones.”
