I have authored or co-authored 17 books, and over 25 periodicals that focused on athletic, counseling, and theological topics. Since joining the faculty at TMU, I have had four books published, COUNTING THE COST: RAISING & COACHING ELITE ATHLETES; A COACH/S TOOLBOX OF ASSESSMENTS; GRACED-BASED COUNSELING; and ENDING THE CYLE OF FATHER WOUNDS.

Biography
Dr. Richard Fowler was raised in Central America as a missionary kid. For over 40 years, he has served as a licensed counselor—accumulating more than 35,000 client sessions—university professor, and head basketball coach at two universities. In addition, he has worked as a sport psychology consultant for college, NFL, and MLB athletes. He has also been a featured guest on Focus on the Family and The 700 Club.
He currently serves as the lead professor in the professional counseling tracks and as the psychological coordinator for the university’s athletic teams. He and his wife, Jerilyn, have two children and eight grandchildren.
