CLEVELAND, Ga. – Truett McConnell University (TMU) announces its new Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree program approved by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), to be offered fall semester 2017.

“It is with great excitement that TMU introduces its second master’s degree,” said TMU President Dr. Emir Caner.

“The MBA, with its core two classes of the Doctrine of Revelation and Introduction to Missions, expands our dream in training a generation that trusts God’s Word completely and shares Christ faithfully. The MBA will grant our graduates the ability to excel in the marketplace while being salt and light (Matthew 5:13-16).”

Dr. Brad Reynolds, TMU’s Vice President for Academic Services, shared, “The MBA opens the doors for TMU to offer its distinctive “from the very first verse to the very last tribe” educational pillars to the business professional. Unlike most MBAs, TMU has two courses which are foundational to who we are, focusing on the authority of Scripture and the mission field.”

“These foundational courses coupled with the professional content and education of an MBA from a Christian worldview truly prepares the Christian business professional globally,” Reynolds explained. “But the principles of Scripture are not just for the ‘Christian.’ God’s principles, even applied by secular businesses, still provide the ingredients for success.”

The new MBA, which is TMU’s second master’s degree program, will be available on the Cleveland campus and consist of 36 credit hours for individuals interested in continuing their education in the business field.

Additional courses include: business research methods, managerial finance and environment of human resource management, all taught through a Christian worldview.

Students entering with other than a business degree may be required to complete basic management or marketing courses before taking these topics at the graduate level.

Dr. Janet Forney, Dean and Professor for The Hans Hut School of Business, shared, “I am excited that the University can now provide students with an opportunity to continue their professional training in a known Christian environment.”

“The program will also greatly enhance the professional image of the Hans Hut School of Business,” Forney added.
