Mark Fiddie

Class of 2000

Mark Fiddie, a native of Covington, GA, attended Truett-McConnell College from 1996 to 2000, when he graduated with an Associate in Music degree.
After TMC, Fiddie continued his education at Kennesaw State University, graduating in 2007 from KSU’s College of the Arts.  While a music student there, he studied voice with Dr. Oral Moses and performed with the Kennesaw State University Chorale and Chamber Singers.
Currently Mark Fiddie is an elementary school music specialist for the Walton County public school system.  In addition, he maintains a private voice studio, teaching many vocal students each week in Gwinnett, Newton and Walton counties.  He also teaches vocal lessons for the Arts Association of Newton County.
In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Mark serves as the director of music at Rock Springs United Methodist Church in Lawrenceville, GA, and as coordinator of music at Grace United Methodist Church in Covington, GA.

Various other projects claim his attention as well.  He is currently working on a CD album of Negro spirituals and plans to pursue a master’s degree in education soon.  He has recently moved his residence to Lawrenceville, GA.
Says Mark Fiddie:  “Coming to Truett-McConnell College was a cherished highlight of my life because I established many lifetime friendships.  To be a small institution, TMC had a remarkable and caring faculty.  The music department when I was a TMC student thrived under the leadership of Dr. David George, assisted by his wife, Mrs. Ruth George, and produced very fine music.”
