The Leonhard Schiemer School of Psychology and Biblical Counseling at Truett McConnell University is offering a FREE workshop entitled “How to Minimize Distractions and Study More Effectively: Coping with ADD.” This workshop is for students and/or their parents to help them gain a skill set for ADHD success. To many, ADHD is a “disease” or a “learning deficiency.” Yet in reality, ADHD is a “learning difference” that has nothing to do with one’s intelligence. Since most academic training is geared for non ADHD students, it becomes imperative to learn the “tricks and strategies ” in order to study effectively and achieve success in school. Come hear how Dr. Rick Fowler, who has ADHD and was labeled as a “special education student,” was able to rise above his difficulties by using the techniques he will share with you.
Two opportunities for students:
11:00am or 12:30pm
