JOB DESCRIPTION: INTRAMURAL STAFF
1. GENERAL DESCRIPTION:The position of intramural staff is responsible for setting up, running, and officiating the intramural sporting events, which support the mission of the Truett-McConnell College Office of Student Development.
2. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:• Assist in setup and cleanup of equipment and facility for assigned sport(s).• Be knowledgeable of all the intramural sports officiating rules and NAIA playing guidelines for their assigned sport(s).• Attend regularly scheduled Intramural Sports staff meetings and training.• Perform other intramural sports program tasks as assigned by the intramural coordinator.• Make fair and consistent calls. Be respectful and professional to participants and fellow staff.• Pay attention to the game at all times. Cell phones are prohibited during work hours.• Inform scorekeepers of points scored and fouls incurred throughout the game.• Always come properly equipped – whistle, shoes, flags, etc. Wear proper attire to all games:
- Intramural Sports shirt- no jeans, sweats, or cutoffs
Qualifications:Required: currently enrolled, with a minimum 2.0 GPA, and in good standing with the college. Intramural staff is not allowed to participate in intramural events.
Preferred: CPR & First Aid certification and officiating experience. Have adequate previous athletic experience that helps with officiating intramural sports.
Wages: $8 per hour
JOB DESCRIPTION:STUDENT WORKER DIVISION OF NURSING
Area: Division of Nursing
Reports to: Department ChairSummary: He or she should be a professing Christian who helps the Division Chair and Administrative Assistant with clerical work and other business, as needed or specified.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Organize and maintain inventory control of nursing lab supplies and equipment• Perform maintenance activities in lab to include but not limited to: laundry of linen, cleaning of counters, floors• Maintains confidentiality with all assigned work to include but not limited to: student files• Assist with special projects as assigned• Assist with answering the telephone providing appropriate information to callers, faxing, filing correspondence, and running errands on campus and making copies.• Word processing and/or data entry into spreadsheets as required• Type reports, memos, agendas, etc.• Answers telephone, gives appropriate information to callers, routes calls to correct places• Assists visitors using facilities• Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:Education and/or Experience:Minimum high school diploma or GED. Basic computer skills required.Knowledge of word processing valuable.
Language Skills:Ability to read and interpret documents including operating instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
Mathematical Skills:Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, percent, and interpret basic graphs. Knowledge of basic terminology of statistics highly valuable.
Reasoning Ability:Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
