Truett-McConnell College holds World Missions Day Commissioning Service

Cleveland, Georgia (April 07, 2011) – Truett-McConnell College held its World Missions Day Commissioning Service this morning at TMC Chapel.

Expounding on Luke 9:51-62, the chapel guest speaker, Dr. Keith Eitel, emphasized that Jesus has called us to journey with him. Over seventy students knelt at the altar after the message as Dr. Ed Pruitt, World Missions Center Director, prayed over their future plans to take the Gospel all over the world.

“The TMC commissioning service was exceptionally special as so many TMC students have given a portion of their summer to missions. As the students made their way to the altar for prayer, it was immediately evident that several of these students were going on their second, third, or fourth mission trip. Being a part of these students’ lives is nothing short of a blessing from God,” said Pruitt.

These students will be going to different countries such as Costa Rica, Thailand, and India. Their mission is to step outside their comfort zone and go where the Lord Jesus Christ has called them. They aim is to fulfill the call that is upon every Christian, which is to preach the Gospel until the whole world hears: From the very first verse to the very last tribe.

Truett-McConnell College equips students to fulfill the Great Commission by fostering a Christian Worldview through a Biblically-centered liberal arts education. For more information about Truett-McConnell College visit us online at www.truett.edu
