November 19 - Dr. Kevin King

Dr. Kevin King, Associate Professor of Theology at Liberty University spoke of the three foundational principles to living a life of significance. He used the life of Caleb from Joshua 14 as an example. He stated that to live a life of significance, it first begins with having great confidence in the Word of God. You must also seek to have God’s perspective in all decisions in your life. You must finally develop perseverance in all things. Dr. King encouraged students to live a life of significance and become a well assembled instrument for God to use.

November 12 - Chan Gailey

The chapel speaker was Mr. Chan Gailey, former offensive coordinator of the Kansas City Chiefs. He testified that in coaching there are two categories, the humble and the humbled. He encouraged students to never quit and when on the roller coaster of life to have rock solid faith in Jesus Christ.

October 29 - Dr. Anthony George

The chapel speaker was Dr. Anthony George, Pastor of Aloma Baptist Church in Orlando, Florida. He spoke on Revelation 20 delivering a God-inspired message of the tribulation. His compelling message urged Christians to stand firm and be ready for the days ahead. He encouraged Christians to be separate and distinct and to not compromise their faith for anything.

October 22 - Dr. David Allen

Dr. David Allen is the Dean of the School of Theology at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. Dr. Allen expounded on Hebrews 12:1-2 and compared the Christian life to running a long distance race. He stated that speed isn’t important but that endurance is. He encouraged Christians to fix their eyes on Christ and to get rid of all of the things that hinder them from running the “race”.

October 15 - Dr. Adam Harwood
Dr. Adam Harwood serves as professor of Christian Studies at Truett-McConnell College. His message titled, “The Message of the Cross” stating that the message of the Cross is God’s “foolish” way to save us from our sin. The message that seems foolish to so many people is the message that saved our souls. He quoted 1 Corinthians 1:18 and stated the definition of the message of the Cross as the story of the self-sacrifice of the God-man, Jesus, for our sins.

October 1 - Dr. Bucky Kennedy

Dr. Bucky Kennedy serves as the Pastor of First Baptist Church, Vidalia, Georgia and as the President of the Georgia Baptist Convention. Dr. Kennedy referenced 2 Chronicles 7: 20-21. He posed the question, “If we are doing more than we have ever done (as Christians) and seeing more than we have ever seen, then why is the impact less?” He spoke about breaking the cycle of futility and regaining a passion. He encouraged Christians to seek His face instead of our own pleasure.

September 24 - Dr. Nathan Lino
Dr. Nathan Lino serves as the Pastor of Northeast Houston Baptist Church in Houston, Texas. His message from Acts Chapter 1:6 asked the question, “Have Christians reduced the size of the gospel?” He expounded on the disciples response to Jesus before he ascended into heaven. Dr. Lino encouraged Christians to remember the power of the gospel stating, “The gospel is so big that it can smother and cover the world’s lost people.”
