Men Fall in Final Game at NCCAA South Regional
| The TMC Men closed out their Basketball season on Monday night at the NCCAA South Regionals hosted by Palm Beach Atlantic University. The TMC Men took on North Greenville and fell by a final score of 78-61. The Crusaders of North Greenville took control early taking a 25 point lead into the locker room at halftime. Despite another big night from Tulio Yamasita (25 points, 9 rebounds) the Bears could not overcome the big halftime deficit eventually falling by the 78-61 final score. The men close out their first season of 4 year competition at 7-25. They will look to improve upon that record next fall as they compete in their first season in the newly designed Southern States Athletic Conference. |

Bears Take Series from ACC with DH Split
| The TMC Bears used a split in the DH on Saturday to take 2 out of 3 in the series against visiting Atlanta Christian College. The Bears took game 1 on Saturday behind another strong start from Joey Wood (5 IP, 8 H, 1 ER) by a final score of 3-1. Freshman Chris Swancey worked 2 scoreless innings of relief to earn the first save of his career. Teddy Leverett (2-4 2 2B's, 2 runs) and Jonathon Wilson (1-3 2 RBI's) lead the way offensively in game 1. Game 2 saw the visitors from ACC jump on top early and never look back en route to the 10-6 victory. Leverett had another big performance in game 2 going 2-4 with 2 homeruns and 3 RBI's. The Bears enter Spring Break with a 8-6 record and will return to action next weekend as they travel to Central, SC to take on Southern Wesleyan in a 3 game series begining Friday March 12th. |

Bears Beat ACC in Series Opener
Pitchers Christian White and Ross Roberts combined to 4 hit visiting Atlanta Christian College and the offense pounded out 15 hits en route to a 9-1 win at Mize Field on Friday afternoon. TMC used big days at the plate from Teddy Leverett (3-4, 2 2B, 3 runs) and Jonathon Wilson (3-4 1 HR, 3 RBI's, 2 runs) to pace the offense. White earned the victory on the mound working 5 solid innings allowing 4 hits and an unearned run while Roberts earned the save with 4 no-hit innings of relief. The Bears and Chargers will conclude the series on Sunday with a DH begining at 1:00.

Bears Ride Strong Starts to DH Sweep
TMC hosted the Shorter Hawks on Monday afternoon and used two solid starting pitching performances from Joey Wood and Daniel Ficarrotta to earn the sweep by final scores of 8-1 and 3-2. Wood started game 1 and threw his 2nd consecutive complete game allowing only an unearned run, while scattering 8 hits, and striking out 5. Leading the way offensively in game 1 were Teddy Leverett (2-5, 2 runs) and Brad Mills (2-2, 2 RBI's). In game 2 Ficarrotta got the start and worked 6 innings allowing 5 hits and 1 run before giving way to the bullpen. Ethan Seagraves came on to slam the door getting the final 3 outs to earn the save. The 2 wins improve the Bears record to 6-5 and they will return to action on Friday as they host Atlanta Christian College in a single game with first pitch set for 2:00.

Softball Sweeps Lagrange in Dramatic Fashion
On Saturday the Lady Bears returned home and looked to ride the momentum from their DH sweep of Emmanuel College on Thursday to another DH sweep against visiting LaGrange College. They would do just that winning by final scores of 8-7 and 12-11. In game 1 Molly Lecroy earned the victory with 4 innings of solid relief and Danette Irvin went 3-4 with a triple and 2 runs scored to lead the offense. In game 2 the Lady Bears found themselves down 5 headed into the final inning. With 2 outs and nobody on Lacey Roberts would walk followed by Dani Lyons who reached on an error. After back to back walks to Irvin and Courtney Lyons made the score 11-7 Meghan Reese belted a grand slam homerun over the center field fence to tie the game at 11. TMC would win the game one inning later when Roberts connected on a game winning double to knock in Kara Moore. The 2 wins improve the Lady Bears record to 9-5, which is the best start in school history.

Bears Baseball uses Strong Pitching to Down Southern Wesleyan 5-2
| Truett-McConnell played host to Southern Wesleyan on Wednesday afternoon on a frigid day at Mize Field and used a solid team pitching performance to knock off the visiting Warriors 5-2. Daniel Ficarrotta started on the mound for the Bears and worked 4 shutout innings to earn the win in his first college start. Ficarrotta was joined by Ben Ralston, Ross Roberts, Matt Hill, Chris Swancey, Joey Wood, and Ethan Seagraves who combined to hold the visitors to just 1 earned run for the game. Pacing the offense was catcher Buck Harris (2-2 1 BB 1 HBP) and Matt Powell whose 2-RBI single in the bottom of the 8th put the game out of reach for SWU. The Bears will have the weekend off before hosting the Shorter Hawks in a 3-game series begining on Monday. |
