Dr. Ben Caston performs Mozart Requiem

Truett-McConnell College’s Dr. Ben Caston -- associate professor Music/Fine Arts - chair performed the Mozart Requiem with the Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra and Chorus on Monday, March 25 at First Presbyterian Church of Hilton Head.

Caston, a tenor, has performed with the Hilton Head Choral Society three times since 2006, singing in Schubert’s Mass in G and Saint Saëns’s Christmas Oratorio. This was his first opportunity to sing with the Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra and conductor James Morris Russell.

Russell is also the conductor of the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra.

In May, Caston will be the tenor soloist for performances of Dubois’s The Seven Last Words of Christ in Conyers and Covington, Ga.
