Impact of Annual Giving at Truett-McConnell
When our loyal alumni give back to their alma mater, they participate in a tradition of giving that is critical to sustaining the success of Truett-McConnell College. They understand the unique benefits that come from a Truett-McConnell education and are helping to pass along those benefits to the next generation.
Matt Paul ('91), president of the Truett-McConnell College Alumni Association, recently noted..."Alyson and I met at Truett-McConnell College. We both graduated from TMC and served on staff. In both cases, we saw firsthand the impact a quality, Christian education has on students. The educational experiences we gained have blessed us with unique and rewarding opportunities. We feel led to give financially to our alma mater in order to express appreciation for the education we gained, to allow TMC to continue educating and serving students, and simply because we are asked."
The Truett-McConnell Annual Fund is an annual giving campaign that encourages alumni and friends of the college to support TMC on an annual basis. Annual gifts of all sizes enhance students' educational experience. They also help Truett-McConnell fulfill its mission of equipping students to fulfill the Great Commission by fostering a Christian worldview through a biblically centered education.
Why are annual gifts important?
• Annual gifts add up and go to work immediately providing financial support for the students.
• Annual gifts help close the gap between the total cost of education and what the student actually pays in tuition and fees.
• Annual gifts fund day-to-day operations and help TMC better plan for unexpected challenges.
• Annual gifts are the most direct way to have a direct impact on the entire TMC community.
TMC is supported by the Georgia Baptist Convention (GBC), so why are annual gifts needed?
The GBC graciously provides about 12% of TMC's annual operating revenue. While the college is very grateful, it must find other sources of funding. Likewise, tuition and fees along with room and board do not completely cover costs either. Funds from annual giving, planned giving, as well as private and corporate foundations are critical to the overall success and long-term stability of Truett-McConnell College.
While Annual Gifts of any size are welcomed, the Office of Institutional Advancement has created different giving levels with associated benefits (see below). Giving levels are calculated on a calendar year basis.

Within the next year, you will be receiving phone calls, letters, emails, and e-newsletters asking for your financial support of Truett-McConnell College.
