We are delighted that you are interested in becoming an International Student at Truett-McConnell College!  An international student is someone who has not been granted or does not have US citizenship or permanent US residency. In order for these students to study in the US, they must obtain an F-1 or J-1 visa. Truett-McConnell College only accepts International Students with F-1 visas. Please refer to the following information in order to begin the application process.
 
International students applying for admission to Truett-McConnell College must complete the following steps listed on the International Student Breakdown:
  1. Submit a formal application in accordance with the instructions printed on the application.

  2. Submit proof of required immunizations.

  3. Submit official transcripts and credentials evaluation of all secondary and postsecondary school work.

  4. If English is not applicant’s native language, submit proof of proficiency in English by achieving a minimum score of 500 on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or a minimum score of 173 on the computerized version or a 60 on the online version of the TOEFL.

  5. If English is the applicants native language and cumulative score of 860 on the SAT (Verbal + Math) or a 1300 on the (Verbal + Math+ Writing) or an 18 on the ACT.

  6. Provide a notarized guarantee that you will be able to meet all financial obligations for the time enrolled at Truett-McConnell College.

Upon receiving the above items, Truett-McConnell College's International Student Advisor will notify students of their acceptance or denial of admission. In cases where students may be completing language training at an ELS center, the student may be granted admission contingent upon the successful completion of level 108.


Upon receipt of official acceptance from Truett-McConnell College, international students must complete the following:
  1. Submit funds to cover the amount of one year’s tuition, room, and board.
  2. Purchase a health insurance policy. (Contact the International Student Advisor for health insurance information.)

After confirmation of these items is received, the College will issue an I-20 form. If, for any reason, the student is unable to enroll at Truett-McConnell College, all fees will be refunded except the room reservation fee.
